Sometimes it is challenging to be available when a course is conducted.  So we have recorded one of our RockTape online interactive courses that was recently conducted via zoom.  Once you purchase the online course, you will be sent a link, and you will have 12 months to watch the content as many times as you like.

The content for this course is the same as our face to face courses.  The recorded video you receive is 5 hours and 35 minutes in length.  However, the number of hours taken to complete the content depends on how much time you spend practicing the applications in the videos practical segments.   We estimate the total time to complete the course could take up to 8 hours, which is the scheduled length of the face to face courses, and that is the amount of time we put on the electronic certificates we send to customers on completion of the course.

RockTape courses are Australia’s most popular kinesiology tape courses.  Since 2010 we have conducted over 500 full and half day courses, attended by more than 10,000 people.  Why the interest?

Unlike other methods, RockTape’s taping protocol is based on an ‘open-source’ philosophy - we don’t believe there’s only one right way to tape.  This approach to taping integrates concepts from all other methods and provides a framework for the practitioner to determine the best approach for them and their clients using their own clinical reasoning.  By teaching a framework of kinesiology taping - concepts not recipes, it’s much easier for attendees to apply clinically to their customer group – i.e. lower limb, upper limb, paediatric, geriatric, neuro, musculoskeletal, equine, canine, etc.

The full day introduction (level1) courses remain our principal method of introducing the concept of kinesiology taping to the majority of practitioners.  This course provides the basics of kinesiology taping: regional taping for pain, taping for swelling and recovery, taping for posture and useful taping applications for pregnancy.  In addition, this course includes an introduction to the concepts of “Fascial Chain Taping”: utilising the benefits of kinesiology taping to tape the muscles associated with a particular activity.  For example, linking the muscles of the appropriate kinetic chain, i.e. lower back, hamstring and calf muscles that make up the posterior chain.

Course Outline:

  1. Theory of kinesiology taping
  2. Regional taping - muscle and joint applications
  3. Oedema/inflammation taping
  4. Scar taping
  5. Posture taping
  6. Pregnancy taping applications
  7. Introduction to fascial chain taping

Australian based participants receive:

  1. an electronic copy of the presentation slides
  2. enough RockTape to use during the course and also to have some leftover to practice your new skills later
  3. an electronic copy of the certificate on completion can be provided on completion.

The course materials will be despatched to Australian customers via courier when you place your order.  Please provide a physical delivery address, not a PO Box.

Non Australian based (International) participants receive:

  1. an electronic copy of the presentation slides
  2. an electronic copy of the certificate on completion can be provided on completion.
  3. please source a couple of rolls of kinesiology tape to use in the course.  The kinesiology tape doesn’t have to be RockTape.  The cost of your course will be 10% less as the GST isn't applicable to you.

    Great Course

Posted by Kelly Paul on 14th Jul 2022

This course was extremely helpful, I learnt a lot from it and it was great to watch the video to access their specific tips on the application of the tape. I will use the knowledge I've gained for many years to come! My only feedback would be to splice the video so that you don't have the pause time where the initial students practice their taping. A warning that cadavers were about to be shown would've been appreciated, as it was quite a shock, having not come from a medical background where exposure to cadavers is normal.

    Rock tape online

Posted by michael on 2nd Feb 2022

Well presented course. Clear and easy to follow/understand. While not about the course directly just wondering why rocktape don't have a "pre-cut" option such as other brands. I know some taping needs measure lengths, but as a therapist having precuts for a basic ankle or knee is amazing option and can save me time, especially when I used to work with sports teams.....just a though for future products for you guys. Cheers

    Rocktape Level 1

A great course if you are looking to be introduced to the skill of kinesiology taping. Very engaging, and easy to follow and understand. Focuses more on practical aspects of taping to ensure you are confident when practicing and putting the skills into play in your own client care. Highly recommend!
